Property purchase Tax

This is a one time payment Tax which is to be paid at the time of title deed transaction over the buyers name when it has returned from Military Applications which can take up four months to complete. The tax paid is equal to 3.3% of the properties shown value on the Tapu which is much lower than the actual value and worth of the property .

  • Buildings and Land owned in Turkey are subject to real estate tax
  • Residences 0.1%   based on the declared value of property shown on Tapu – per annum
  • Other Buildings 0.2%
  • Land 0.1%
  • Vacant Land (allocated for development purposes) 0.3%
  • Farming Lands 0%
  • Government Tax – Approximatley 130GBP per annum
  • Community Tax – Approximatley 12GBP per annum for local services
  • Inheritance and Gift Tax
    Property obtainted as a gift or inheritance is subject to taxes of between 1% - 30% of the valuation. Tax paid in another country of inherited property is deducted from the taxable value of the asset. Inheritance tax is payable over the period of three years and in two installments per year.
  • Environmental Tax
    Environmental tax helps fund services such as garbage collection. This tax applies to fees and charges depending on the location of the property it is levied in staged payments twice a year.
  • Income Tax ( Rental income)
  • The  income tax  is based on residence, so if you do not reside in Turkey, there will be no tax payable in Turkey
